Mstop — Privacy Policy

Overview

Mstop is a habit-tracking app designed to help you build healthy streaks. Your privacy is fundamental to how we built this app.

Data We Store on Your Device

• Streak data (current streak, check-in time, relapse history) — stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. Never sent to our servers.
• Preferences (gender selection, check-in time) — stored locally. Gender is used only to filter content displayed to you.
• Anonymous device credentials (device ID and secret) — stored securely on your device and used to authenticate posts. We do not link these to your identity.

Data We Store on Our Servers

• Anonymous posts — text content you choose to share on the community wall, along with a gender tag and timestamp. Posts are not linked to any personal identity.
• Device record — a random device ID and a hashed secret for authentication. We cannot identify you from this.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• No names, email addresses, or phone numbers
• No location data
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No third-party SDKs that collect data
• No advertising identifiers

Third-Party Services

Mstop does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Data Retention

Your local data exists only on your device. If you delete the app, it is gone. Server-side posts are retained indefinitely but cannot be traced to you.

Children's Privacy

Mstop is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
